- Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe DIASPIDINI Subtribe CHIONASPIDINA (Normark, et al., 2019)
In the adult female, this genus is hardly distinguishable from some species of Protodiaspis. It is recognized as distinct because of its host plant Connaraceae and first instar larval characters (Takagi, 1993).
