Remarks

• Structure: Scale of female elongate oval, very thin, delicate, more or less transparent, white to dirty-white, flat. Central boss small, somewhat denser in texture than surrounding structures, white with slightly elevated carinae radiating from its centre. Scale of male, opaque, dirty-white, smaller than that of female (Mamet, 1954b).
