- Systematics: urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:2F3713C6-4E7C-4A89-9C72-734749D9F885 DNA sequence fragments of several loci of Chusqueaspis gonzalezi have been submitted to Genbank: 28S, accession number MT790771 (PA1001A) and MT790772 (PA1075A); COI, accession numbersMT790347 (PA1001A). Chusqueaspis gonzalezi can be distinguished from C. riverae by the absence of perivulvar pores (pores present in C. riverae) and from C. patriciae by the abundance of perispiracular pores, with more than 26 near each anterior spiracle (C. patriciae has fewer than 20) and more than 17 near each posterior spiracle (C. patriciae has fewer than 7). - Structure: Adult female not pupillarial; dorsal scale cover convex, subcircular initially but becoming elongate‐oval at full maturity, exuviae subcentral or submarginal, tan to dark brown; ventral cover thick; body colour dark pink; found on stems of host. Slide‐mounted adult female), 904–1920 (median 1730) μm long, 740–1560 (median 1450) μm wide. Body outline turbinate, broadest at mesothorax. Derm membranous or slightly sclerotised. - Biology: The scale is ovoviviparous. Females parasitised by Chalcidoidea were found at Ojos de Caburgua – slide PA828B (PA) and PN Alerce Andino.
