Remarks
- Systematics: This species is closely related to Bambusaspis largus( Russell) and Bambusaspis jubatus Wu,but differs from them in having large tubular-shaped pores and marginal quinquelocular pores arranging in a band of 3-5 pores instead of a single row. (Zhang & Zhang, 1997)
- Structure: The female adult has an oblong wax shell, flat ventrally and slightly convex dorsally, measuring 1.1–2.3 mm in length and 0.6–1.2 mm in width. The wax shell is thin and translucent, with long, white dorsal wax filaments and shorter, pale yellow marginal wax filaments. The body is oblong, dark red, 1.1–2.2 mm in length and 0.6–1.1 mm in width. Along the body margin, there is a single row of figure-eight glands (Zhang & Zhang, 1997)
