Remarks
- Systematics: Li & Wu (Li, et al., 2014) described Trionymus indocalamus as similar to Trionymus ferganensis (Borchsenius, 1949) in the number of cerarii and in the distribution of the multilocular pores and tubular ducts, but differs in having six-segmented antennae (seven segmented in T. ferganensis) and hind coxae without translucent pores (present on T. ferganensis). However, Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) transferred it to the genus Balanococcus because it has a marginal bank of multilocular pores and very small legs and antennae.
- Biology: The species was collected under the leaf sheaths of Poaceae.
- General Remarks: Detailed description and illustration in Li, et al., 2014.
