Remarks
- Systematics: Aulacaspis bauhiniae and A. phanerae are apparently closely related to each other. They are different in the numbers of the disc pores and macroducts, in the shape of the median trullae, and in the development of the pore prominences on the fourth and fifth abdominal segments. The pore prominences on the fourth and fifth abdominal segments are produced in the shape of a triangle and sharply pointed apically in A. phanerae, whereas the corresponding processes are low and tubercular in A. bauhiniae. (Takagi, 2018)
- Structure: Adult female at full growth with prosoma swollen, distinctly but not much broader than postsoma, basal 3 postsomatic segments nearly the same in width, pygidium broad triangular in outline. Prosoma roughly quadrate in outline, broadly rounded on anterior margin, a little rounded laterally; prosomatic tubercles each represented by a small rounded prominence at most; peribuccal scleroses not formed. Anterior spiracles each with a very small group of disc pores; posterior spiracles each with a few to several disc pores just laterally. Perivulvar disc pores in small groups. (Takagi, 2018)
