Remarks
- Structure: Adult female tests thin, but not transparent, irregular in outline. Body of vitis-type, pygidium broadly triangular in outline. Interantennal tubercle and derm pockets sometimes present, but tending to be rudimentary. Anterior spiracles each accompanied by 2-7 disc pores; posterior spiracles with no disc pores. Perivulvar disc pores 2-10 in median, 15-22 in each anterolateral and 9-15 in each posterolateral group. This species has a small but distinct triangular process or spur on each of the pore prominences of the fouth and fifth abdominal segments as in the calcarata. species group of Aulacaspis. Aulacaspis canariiphila is readily distinguishable from the other two Canarium associated species, A. canarii and A. canariicola in having the calcarate pore prominences and in the state of the median trullae (Takagi, 2012a)
- Biology: Females occurring on the lower surface of leaves. (Takagi, 2012a)
