Remarks
- Structure: Adult female, with secretion, is fairly large. Body is completely covered with dense, sharply defined wax plates, these occurring in the usual marginal and dorsal tufts, being white or variously discolored, sometimes appearing yellow-brown or gray (Morrison, 1925). Antennae 7 or 8 (rarely 6) segmented; all segments covered with 2-4 very robust, spine-like setae; apical spine of antennae thick and blunted. (Kaydan, et al., 2016)
- Biology: This species has been collected from the nests of the ant Formica integra (Morrison, 1925).
- General Remarks: Original and brief descriptions by Douglas (1891b) and Ehrhorn (1906). Subsequent and more detailed treatments by Morrison (1925 and 1952) and Kozár (2004).
