Albastaspis gullanae is distinctive in having more than 1 gland spine in the space between L1 and L2 (all other species of Albastaspis have just 1 gland spine in this position) and also more than 1 gland spine lateral to L2 (most other species of Albastaspis have just 1 gland spine in this position).
- Structure: Adult female not pupillarial. Appearance in life not recorded. Slide-mounted adult female (n = 11) 750–1050 μm long (holotype 1050 μm), 320–550 μm wide (holotype 550 μm). Body outline fusiform, widest at abdominal segment I or II. Derm membranous throughout at maturity except for pygidium. (Wei, et al., 2026)
