Albastaspis bunya is very similar to A. hartii, but can be distinguished by following features: 2 gland spines immediately lateral to L2 (1 gland spine in A. hartiii); L1 parallel at base with semicircular apex (L1 divergent at base, roughly triangular overall in A. hartii); L1 margin strongly serrulate to slightly crenulate (entire to slightly serrulate in A. hartii). - Structure: Adult female not pupillarial. “Inducing open galls” on host; appearance in life not otherwise recorded. Slide-mounted (n = 12) adult female 700–850 μm long (holotype 700 μm), 490–600 μm wide (holotype 490 μm), broadest at metathorax and abdominal segment I. Body outline broadly oval, derm membranous except for pygidium. (Wei, Normark & Normark, 2026)
