Remarks
- Systematics: Adult male A. distorta is very similar to those of other Aclerda species, but is rather larger. The main difference between A. distorta and other species is the presence of an incipient glandular pouch (the presence of a disc-pore suggests it could be a pouch but the presence of three setae suggests otherwise!) (Hodgson, 2020)
- Biology: Concealed beneath the leaf sheaths of the host.
- General Remarks: Description and illustration of the adult female by McConnell (1954). Detailed description of male in Hodgson, 2020.
